On the back, over a “P. & D. Colnaghi & Co. Ltd.” card it bears:

Portrait of a lady seated, holding dog & letter
Drawing in pen, bistre & grey wash by George Romney (1734-1802)”

On top of that there is square card depicting Athena, Hercules
and two flying putti and the words: “”Ex Thesauro W. Graham””

It also has a catalogue number: “T5949
